I just wonder how do fathers that decided to loose contact with their children feel on this day....do they think about their kids? Especially when they are still of a tender age? Is it possible for them to start a new life and forget about their own flesh and blood? Sad....really sad...

Luckily I was blessed with a one in a million dad which I love to bits...just wish my daughter was that lucky crying

The father is not who puts you in this world, but the person who looks after you, cares for you, is there when you are in trouble, provide for you, nursing you when you're sick...

So to all the good fathers...Happy Father's day

To the fathers that only cause pain in an innocent child's life, you're not half the man you think you are, you deserve to be buried alive! very mad

My biggest wish today is to say Happy Father's Day crying
Unfortunately my dad passed away 6yrs ago & i miss him like hell. Was very close & confided in him being such a good listener & always ready with a solution to my probs.
So all i could do is pray for his soul.
Reg; your daughter's dad try & be as much a dad yourself as being her mum even though its tough.
When i got seperated frm my husband i always kept good friendship for the sake of my wonderful 3 girls who are now old enough to realise what a sacrifice i committed myself into.

For all the fathers HAPPY FATHER"S DAYxx cheers

well im in my childs life as much possible as i can but this doesnt meen im always there , it isnt cause i dont care its cause i travel for a living , when ever im at home i treasure every little time ive got with him but the circomstances stop me from being all the time by his side , i called home today and he said happy fathers day .... the sound of that is better then a pot of gold coming your way .......

how can some one start a new life forgetting his kids .....if his new life doesnt include his kids then its no life at all and if he was unhappy in his previous life cause of what ever kids aint got nothing to do with it .....they're your flesh and blood praise them as thers nothing more precious!!!!!

happy fathers day all you dads and be happy when you hug your kids goodnight this evening as keep in mind some others wish to but can't

Brunette, you are lucky to have such a father. Many of us do too.
The tragedy is that I know of a father who has a beautiful three year old daughter, who just does not want to hear about her. His mother goes to visit the daughter regularly, but he never does, and he has never admitted she is his own, although there is irrevocable proof of this.
Yes I wonder too how they feel.
Well I guess this one feels better if he forgets, because he is a monster.

Brunette,
You are absolutely right about the role a father should play. Whatever smashed the marital bond between the parents should not leave the disasterous results on their children. A man can legally separate from his wife but a father cannot separate himself from his own children and refrain from meeting his obligations as a proper father. Some fathers might argue that all this is the mother's fault but that is not justification enough for mistreating the innocent children.
