My personal favourite for little kids, boys especially... is a drum. I love to watch their parents faces when it`s unwrapped!
... with a few extras, those cheapie things you get in gimmick shops like those wooden things that go round and round on a stick and make a hell-of-a-noise, and those blow out curl up party things that also make a noise... So for ONE day they can MAKE A NOISE... cause everything will be broken anyway by the next day..... These are recommended for under 5`s.
Oh, include a bottle of the parents favourite alcohol so they can numb themselves.

my laptop toy is fantastic!, also my digital camera toy is great! i also really like my headtorch, it goes for ages, has led lights and means i can do stuff with both hands in the dark mmm...

For kids - I go for lots of things to let them be creative ..
all sorts of non toxic material.. paint - dough - clay - wood - fabric - wool - glue - carton boxes - paper - all you can find to inspire there own creativity ...
for adults - its much more difficult - but there are good toys for men ..

My grandchildren's fav is plastic bucket full of water and old paintbrush. They just love "painting" the outside walls of my house!They only 18! Bless'em!
