Well firstly you say that he is your friend.......
Secondly you say that you two have fun when he is here.....
I'd be asking him when he wants to get married if at all and get him to commit to a date for the wedding day......
The other way to look at it is that he's having the best of both worlds........
No commitment living overseas.........
Having his bread buttered on both sides and even with jam on it.......
My advice is do not put your self on hold for any guy.......

Most importantly do you love him? Are you two an item when he is not with you? Will you have to move or will he? These are important things you will have to discuss with him first before making any commitments. Also do either of you have children and how will they be affected?

As a guy.. I say keep things simple. Have your fun while he's with you. I wouldn't make any plans till he is around all the time. Who knows? You may not even like some of the habits that he hides while he's with you.

his from the same home town as me. in fact we went to the same high school we dated a little bit then but nothing to heavy. now that we our older it has been a thought on both our minds. you see his in the army and his in Iraq for the time being. we talk as much as we can. he even likes my kid. his one of the best friends i could ask for. when his home we can't keep our hands off each other. i just want to know can you have a family if the man is never home. i know he wants to stay in the army. i grow up in a military family so i know what my kid will go through not having dad home all the time. me and my sister came out ok so i'm not worried about that. just don't know what to do should i marry the man that wants to take care of me. that i have a deep friendship with and we both love each other or should i see what else is out there. i mean come on how many single guys want a women that has kids.
