TREES
Trees are good to climb on. And also they are good to put a swing on. Sometimes trees can be good for lots of things like homes for animals and trees make food for themselves. The roots hold the tree up and also bring in water and mulch. My favorite trees are fruit trees, like apple and peach trees and also orange trees. In California there are red trees. But all of the rest of the trees are brown and green. In the Antarctic there are no trees. Sometimes the limbs of the trees and branches make funny shapes like an airplane. And sometimes it kind of looks like a face. Dead trees people cut down for firewood. In the woods people make trails and cut down more trees for firewood and lumber. Lumber trucks cut down really, really big trees for places like Carter Lumber. Sometimes instead of burning trees farmers use trees for making fence posts. Yellow Locust make very good fence posts. In the fall leaves fall off the trees the colors are red yellow orange and gold. In the spring the leaves are all green. Sometimes if lightning hits trees it will cut them down. After trees are cut down by lightning they will never grow back. Trees which are green all the time even through winter are called evergreen trees. Trees can grow until a million and ten years old. In order to cut down those trees you need a giant chain saw about eighty feetlong.
