now as for people meddling into other people's business, you get that just about anywhere... so it sounds as if Malta is a nice place to be !

The best thing about living in Malta 
was that Lago was not there....

My personal impression only, as I've not been to Malta, would be that it kinda neat, cute, hot island....though it's got to feel a bit claustrophobic since an island is rather very small in size.
I suppose Malta has nice white sanded beaches
, some very old historical monuments, not too much of a greenery. It probably has few fancy restaurants, most of homes have swimpools...I've heard that roads there are quite crowded and not in a good condition...People got to be fond of travel there.
Are there olives trees?....
Shopping malls?......
Enough jobs?.....of any kind
Good education system?.....Colleges?
Are fruit and vegetable fresh there?....variety?
I'd guess, since it's such a small community, everyone knows everyone? which can be good or bad depending on the situation.........
