Hey guys......

During the weekend, I saw that England was hit by flash floods. That's terrible........Can anyone tell me which parts of England are affected by these floods?

Seems a lot of the country was affected. I know there was a landslide near me though, but I never knew about it until my sister who lives 200 miles away told me about it!

Sorry.......let me re-phrase that. Has any part of South Wales (in particular Newport) been affected?

No prob jim........send some this way too, we need it badly. I'm just worried about Jason........he stays in the Newport area and normally he's online everyday as well as e-mailing, etc. He was supposed to call me on Saturday.....nothing. Maybe it's a power outage or something, but I'd still like to know if he's okay......

Thanks for putting my mind at ease jim, but I guess it won't be totally at ease until I hear from him.

It's been raining cats and dogs over the last two weeks CrazyIce.

The BBC website will have photos showing the devastation. Where I lived, they've been flooded three times now in the last two weeks and more to come.

Hi CrazyIce

I know Wales has been hit quite hard with floods.
Yesterday I booked a train ticket to go there in 2 weeks time, and the cashier said I might be lucky. At present they are not taking any bookings to Wales because of the floods.

I hope you have word from Jason soon and your minds put at rest. Maybe someone here has his mobile number, and can pass on your concern???

hug

Yes, I really do hope so. I'm going mad over here. I have his mobile number but Paddy explained that the lines are congested, don't know whether that counts for mobile phones as well or not..............

..........thanks anyhow for the info.

I saw it on the news yesterday. It looks bad but I dont know what parts were flooded. We have had the worse Ive seen in America in my lifetime. Our lake is way out of its banks and at one point was almost up to the edge of the dam and they had all the gates open.Kansas and Texas got it the worst tho. Stay strong all from UK.and God blesshug

If you look at photo #12, it may explain why there could be a problem with the trains. There's probably a fair bit of damage to the track foundations as well in places. ]
I don't think South Wales has been as severely affected as many other areas.
