My family is going to help me find a new vehicle. The truck I have is getting old.
I am a tall guy and I would like to find an ext cab truck but my parents say I should get a car because a car is better on gas.
Why do you people think I should do?
Get a ext cab truck so I can fit in a vehicle better or get a car that has better gas milege?
Now I do get headaches from cars from getting in and out.
If you know of anyone that is tall, you'll know what I mean.

Go with comfort, todays Pick up trucks, get just as good of gas mileage as some cars do, and in some cases even better.

Well I forgot to mention that I can't really afford a brand new vehicle.
I am a truck person. I own a 93 chevy 350 V8 single cab full box truck. It still runs good but I am having some probs with it now.
It is leaking coolent/water, and it is burning up oil. It only has just over 143,000 miles on it.
The price range we are looking at is between $4,000-$5,000. We might go pay more if the vehicle is in really great shape.

Thanks for any opinions you have for me.

You don't have to buy new, buy one about 2-3 yrs old, they are just broken in and ready to go, make sure you get one that has all Highway miles you will be happyer with it, you don't want one that some one has beat the crap out of 4 wheeling and hunting in it

Ya I know what you mean. What kind of truck would you prefer for me for driving? I like chevy's. This truck of mine is the first official vehicle I owned.
Plus I mostly do in town driving. I just recently got a new bicycle for me to use in town to help save on gas. That should help me allot.

I'm definately a truck guy too... but if you are going to look at cars, Saturns have lots of room even though they are smaller. I personally never owned one but have rode and driven them before, you'd be supprised.

Convertables don't work for me. Trust me. I've sat in one before and the top of the window was my line of site. Yes I had the seat all the way down and all the way back.

I have tried sitting in a saturn car already. Not a whole lot of room for me.

I have sat in a Ford Explorer already and they don't have that much room for me.

What kind of cars are out there that tall people can fit into?

My first car I purchased on my own was a Mazda pick up, extended cab... I had plenty of room and i'm about 6'0 tall. Maybe check that out. I'm not positive but I think it was a B-series 4000.

Well

I like chevys too, but if I was going to buy a new truck, I would get one of the New Toyota v 8 Pick ups, I hear nothing but good about them.

We are going to be also looking at vans.

For me personaly, I would like to avoid cars. Unless you guys would like to see a car like on Harry and the Hendersons tongue
A big dent in the roof where my head would be.
