Was for me anyway, My first heartbreak took two years to recover. Next one maybe a year. For me anyway. I learned not to dwell on the past of failed relationships. It only holds you back. Once you realize there wasn't anything you could have done, then you move on.

I can see if after the last break and you stay single without dating, how that can eat at some people. I just always got in the mindset, it wasn't meant to be. I can do better, I will do better.

Damn it's like you were reading my mind. Something happened 9 yrs ago that I will never get over. Yes have been through counseling but it's still there and right now am at one of those low times. So thank you.

BND: I cannot remember the chronology of my heartbreaks, but I have definitely learned one important thing.
As in childbirth, with the firstborn, you can remember that it probably hurt like hell...but, if you went on to have another, you knew that you learned from the first, that you would live through it and things would be good again.
Now, men, you'll just have to take my word for it.

These people go through periods of up times and then periods of very low times.
There are few if any words that will ease the pain.......all you can do is be there....hold them....and ride it out with them.........
For those experiencing that kind of pain................just know..........you are loved.........and you shall make it to the other side once again.
