It gets so boring deciding what to eat - what are some of your favourite, quick to prepare meals and do you ever go to the trouble of cooking yourself a really special something? If so then, what wave

I cook Sunday roast then freeze a few platefuls or do a spaghetti bol n freeze that too but it gets so flippin boring - I dont want to get into buying ready meals cos of all the additives etc but they are so tempting and infinitely preferable to beans on toast yet again - I can cook pretty well and enjoy it but there seems little point - Im just looking to fire my imagination a bit

Try to have 'dinner parties'. You can cook for a small gathering of friends or family. Make a bit extra for left overs. It appeases your need to try something a bit more than the usual, and keeps you from giving in to the already prepared frozen foods. Though I will totally admit that we are a big fan of spaghetti Os in my house. If they are Dora shaped my pookiebear will most likely eat them! Score! dancing comfort

Chef Boyardee is the greatest! I believe you can google simple recipes. My friend takes bread, cuts off the crust then uses a rolling pin (we actually use a glass because we don't have a rolling pin) to flatten it out, then she adds normal sandwich fixings. Its a nice change over the normal sandwich. Her boys especially love them and we find that while the rolls look smaller than a regular sandwich they seem to be more filling. Go figure. Only word of caution...jelly doesn't do to well in them. Usually squishes out when you try to roll it up. :D

I am an excellent cook, but since it's just me I usually will get something take out because I don't like eating the same thing for a week. I cook for my dog. I cooked steak, mushrooms, and potato last night for myself.

Invite people for dinner.

It kills two birds with one stone.

One, they get to play guineau pig. Two, you find a reason to cook and expand your experiences.

Or do like what I do and sign up for cooking classes. At least you`ll be cooking with others.

Curries.
I don't buy any pastes or packets.
Buying the range of herbs and spices all in one go is expensive,,but once you got them it gets cheap.

If you like chilly concagne,,try using baked beans instead of kidney beans if you have a sweet tooth.

Sweet and sour chicken is easy too..(if you want the recipe for a suedo sweet and sour..give me a mail)

I can cook all these in under 35 mins
