My friend had to rush his heavily pregnant wife to hospital last night. She was convinced she was about to give birth...the hospital felt otherwise and sent them back home. On the way back home she started to give birth. The baby was delivered in the back of the car by my friend (despite the total lack of boiling water ) much to his astonishment, followed by a frantic dash back to the hospital.
That is WONDERFUL news Cheshire!! I woulda been VERY upset with that hospital, if I had been the hubby, but thank God Mom and baby are doing fine.
Hey Heather honey...how ya doin? You've got mail!
I'm off to cook dinner and probably can't come out and play with everyone til tomorrow afternoon. My packing and getting ready to move chores are killin me AND making me not such a happy-faced person!
See everyone soon...I HOPE tomorrow afternoon for a little while. Is it cocktail time yet?
Thank goodness the mother and child are doing fine. It's normal practice for a hospital to send a mother home if she hasn't dialated or if the water hasn't broken and there's no discernable pattern to labor. But, still I do tend to agree that the woman should have insisted upon remaining in the hospital. But in the end apparently it worked out for the best with mother and child experiencing no after effects from being born in the back of a car...and just think of the stories the pop will have to tell about when the kid gets older. LOL..best wishes to the family! Babies are a joy!

Just a footnote.... the baby is to be named Aaron and as he was born outside a restaurant called Rocco's that maybe his middle name. The family are all back home and well now.
