LOL!! I'm so glad love is in the air for you! When you get to be MY age, you'll want to buy new plants for your deck, buy mulch for the flower beds, AND do Spring Cleaning in the house! Today's young adults most likely don't know what "spring cleaning" means! (switching winter bed linens to summer versions, removing window treatments, washing the windows and then the treatments such as blinds, draperies, valances, etc. before putting them back, cleaning the cupboards under all the sinks, and lastly, re-lining all the drawers in the kitchen.)

What a shame! No baseball fans! Nomar Garciapara signed today with the Red Sox for ONE DAY ONLY! Isn't that cool? He wanted to retire as a Red Sox player so they accommodated him!

I'll chime in!! Can hardly wait for the first televised game! When I lived in MA., I didn't miss many home openers at Fenway.

My weekend will be spent moving and unpacking BUT I'm looking forward to being near my son. His house will be 3 minutes from mine which means I'll be seeing lots more of him, my DIL, and little granddaughter!

I'll driving to North Carolina! Whoooooooooo! It's about a 7 hour drive and I'll be following my son in the U-Haul truck with my dog in the backseat. She normally cries whenever she goes in the car but I'm hoping her knock-out pill will let her sleep for the duration!!

Mummy, you're right about this. I get many flowers and candy from men in their 30's and 40's. I clearly state in my Profile I'm interested in meeting someone 60 to 66. Sorry. I've watched every movie and read sooooo much about Diana I cannot get past those snot-nosed S.O.B's who treated her so badly. She was truly the Peoples Princess! I feel so bad that her life wasn't happier but so glad she had those boys to love her "unconditionally!" (Oh sorry..that was another topic!!

Heather, you've made a good point because we SHOULD accept people for who they are (such as a husband or lover) and I can honestly say my ex-hubby and I never tried to change each other. We got married at the ages of 21 and 22. Fifteen years later we changed on our own with different interests. It was nothing either of us did to each other. We divorced but always "loved" each other until the day he died....which was really great for our 2 kids. They both grew up feeling loved and became responsible, loving, hard-working, successful adults.

Chesire...EXACTLY !! My dog is the epitomy of "unconditional love" and I don't think humans can commit to it over the long haul. We always WANT to and truly HOPE we can accomplish it but, there's no guarantee, unfortunately.

I'm truly amazed at how we played Hopscotch for hours along with Jacks AND Jump Rope! My favorite times were gathering a bunch of friends to play baseball across the street in the empty lot. We found JUST enough gloves, two bats and one old baseball; enough to put us in hog heaven til it got dark and then it was time to go home! If we didn't get home by dark, we get whooped!!! haha

Simple times, good times, and SAFE times for sure!
