Yes it must be those layers, Flower.

When I take the layers off the onion I cry.
When I take the layers off women (clothes) I enjoy myself.
Do you think that is the right way of putting it?
But that does not answer my question why and when women make me cry!!crying

laugh You just answered the question yourself Antcus!

By only treating a woman like an object whose only layers are her clothes without accepting and embracing the many layers of her emotions and feelings you are setting yourself up for blues and much crying

I completely agree with you, yes i am the first to admit we can seem complex but that's what makes us unique and special in so many rewarding ways.

Yes Flower, but making love to a woman is caring about her emotions, and I cannot see myself making love to a woman with my or her clothes on!
So what's the matter?

Antcus awaits to be illuminated!! really.

My advice is to make love WITH your clothes on...this will cause less distress to the lady in question! rolling on the floor laughing

When I make this "spiritual" love "TO" the woman do I also wash with my clothes on?

I thought we were both talking about onions and women. How come we finished discussing love, spiritual or physical, when that does not make me cry one little bit?

Is that what you do Rusty? Is this advice coming from personal experience?
Indeed the ladies can become distressed when they see a "full" man, with no lilliput features!

Well it's not really about women an onions, it's more about people and onions.
People, not women. And if you think about it it's not even people, it's SOME people.
What you might consider is that you can always change the people around you ;)

Hi wave Antcus..
There are also "sweet onions"...and they don't make you cry:)...but can you be satisfied with a substitute? vs a real thing...
Women and onions....I'm sure, you're strong and can manage...sweet times with bitter moments, which make life so much more exciting, memorable, dimensionable..eat too much sweet stuff and you'll get sick in no time...........Personally, I can't stand sweet potatoes..what a joke! Accept completely...it's a fav dish for some.
My Grandma tought me how to deal with onions; got to keep cold water in your mouth while cutting them...Hope, it helps:)
From Not So Sweet And Not So Bitter batting

PS Sometimes it takes a life time to figure out what you really like...but at the end it's all worth it

You don't make spiritual love "to" someone but rather with someone Antcus.

You are the one who talked about layers of clothing ... I was talking about emotional layers ...

If love doesn't make you cry one little bit, try "loving" a woman and all her layers, then may be she won't make you cry. And if she still does, may be she wasn't the right one. Same thing with the onions, if they make you cry, may be they were the wrong ones rolling on the floor laughing

Hi Awesome! It is always a pleasure to read your contributions.
the advice I have been given about peeling onions and not crying is to keep them under water while doing this.
I don't know if I can do the same with women while making love to them, to avoid getting tears in my eyes!!

Your reply is very philosophical, and the advice you have given me is good advice.Pity that when we learn everything in life, what we have to do and what we should never do again, we die soon after, and our experience would have served us very little. We learn how to live too late in life to be of any use to most of us.

Hi Flower, sorry to have to contradict you on a little point, but in English they say making love TO somebody not WITH somebody. This is Queen's English.
I perfectly understand what you are trying to say, namely that you make love together as a couple, not one to the other, but the use of the word WITH is wrong in English.

The problem is that neither onions nor women have anything tangible or physical that induces tears. Maybe, as you say it is my lack of understanding their emotions that makes me cry. But I would say it is more like that they don't understand my emotions and my feelings for them, that makes me cry most!.
By the way, you look very cute in your new photograph.!!

Can't say that I really care what the Queen has to say about it! laugh May be that's why the divorce rate is so high in UK ... Letting the Queen dictate how british citizens approach their love making ... In every other European langauge that I know, people make love WITH one another ... And so I shall carry on making love WITH ... coz it sounds and feels so much more cosy and intimate ...

May be sharing your emotions and feelings would help ... but may be you already do that ...

Thanks for the cute bit laugh I suppose looking cute when you're a grandmother is a compliment ... rolling on the floor laughing

I don't know how it feels to be a grandfather. None of my two children have kids. And one will probably never have. With all the girls running after him, he probably will never have, unless it is by accident!!

rolling on the floor laughing What? You mean unless he trips then they catch up with him? laugh

Being a grandparent is sooooooooo cool! You can love them to bits, re-visit being like a parent or/and playing games and having fun and everything is like a treat to them (because anything from nanny is special) so they are super well behaved anyway... then you give them back ... laugh
