MY MOTHER, MY ANGEL, MY BESTEST FRIEND.


My Mother is an Angel, and my very best friend,

There is nothing that my Mother, can not fix or mend.

She has inside her chest, a heart filled with gold,

She makes me feel so safe, when she takes me in her arms to hold.
Momma gave up so many things, for my sisters and me,

Just because she loved us, that is plain to see.

Momma worked her fingers, clean down to the bone,

But not one time did she ever, holler, cry or moan.

She taught us all the difference, in wrong and right,

And gently soothed our fears, when we cried in fright.

I am all grown up now, and I owe her so very much,

She is so special, I have been blessed by her touch.

My Momma is right by my side, always helping me through,

And with out her, I really don't know what I would do.

She is my rock, on which I do lean,

So many things, in her life, she has seen.

As a Mother, she done her job, and she done it well,

She desrves much more than she has, she did not fail.

Thank you Momma, for all the love you have given me,

I love you more than anything in this world, you see.

And someday I hope to be, just like you,

You are my Angel, and my Bestest Friend too.

So God, if you're listening, way up there above,

Thank you for giving me, my Mother to love.
