As a British citizen , I was wondering or rather hoping to speak with some of my countrymen (women) here Stateside. Lovely as it may be here , particularly the Mid West and South West United States , I cannot helping feeling a bit dis-connected at times. Should anyone from UK be residing here , please get in touch ! The dating culture seems quite the same . Pubs , restaurants and cinema etc. are standard fair.
I'm afraid I'm one of those Brits that doesn't go scouring the neighbourhood for other English speaking people I never consider myself as an ex-pat,, more of a new resident I enjoy integrating into foreign cultures and learning their languages and customs
Never ever wanted to go to the Costa del Fish and Chips and have a ' little bit of England in the sun' If I wanted to open an 'english' pub I'd do it in England
Don't look for other Brits over there, mate. The good citizens there will show you a good time just as we should show them a good time when they come over here
