Actually I agree , I hadn't thought of that.. If someone had asked me for dinner and we didn't really hit it off (or whatever) then I would pay or go halves.

Sorry Jacko, beg to differ. I know a gal here who tried internet dating and got exactly that response. Takes all kinds. Personally, if I went on a date, I would expect to pay for all of it. Old school. Might add, and expect nothing in return. If I didn't want to go I would have said no.
