Ok I am not really new to this, but might as well be. I have been on here for a few months now my expectations are not have meet someone by now but to have at least established a few friendships in which to engage conversations with from time to time would be nice. Thing is I have this problem, I am not good at small talk. I know your probably thinking well not sure what to tell you or why are you online trying to meet people then, I ask myself the same question sometimes. I said I have this problem right well its not limited to just online. I dont know I guess growing up we never really had small talk go on in the family, if we tried to say anything when out in the living room all we got was shhhh Im trying to watch this or wait untill the next commercial. How is it that something so simple can be so difficult, I dont get it. I am sure I am not the only one. So any ideas?

My six month review at my current job went well, my boss's only comment was "You need to talk to people more..."
I dont do well with initial small talk. I can listen but dont join conversations well.
I have found I can type like a fiend. That has been my greatest outlet on line. Might give it a try. Wish I could offer you mroe help....good luck to ya....

Shake it off.....just jump in on threads and have fun. Once you see how people interact, ya may be glad you're not getting responses

I have tried but it always seems I come into and resond at the death of a thread, was begining to think it was caused by me untill I read in another thread it happened to other people a while back.

im not bad at just small talk is talking to people in general. but it does get easier on here. i figured that out in aug. my 3rd month on here. its easier here in the fourms so just find a thread that floats your boat and join in. it does get easier but it isnt easy at first it takes some time is all. good luck to ya

If I really wanted to be w/someone badly enough, I could be. But I'd prefer to be alone that be w/somone just for general companionship.
