Cristina, Cristina, Cristina....Take it from us older women (I'm 48)...5 years is no big deal. You're worried about looking so much older than him....do I look 48?? I'm personally willing to go 10 years younger than me, and maybe even a tiny bit more. I've been out with someone who was a couple years older than me and LOOKED 10 years older and it was even enough to cause someone to make a comment when we went out. I'm wanting someone younger to help me stay young and active. And just so you know...men are always going to "look" at younger women...heck at women period...no matter what age they are. Even my dad does & he's 73 & still married to my mom....but he's just people watching...doesn't mean he's going to dump my mom for a younger model.
I think age only matters at first glance. After you get to know someone and find out you are compatible, age doesn't matter at all. Obviously you're past the first glance stage, so don't worry.
Eight years is nothing! Eight years older, eight years younger. Its how you hit it off. And I would absolutely date a woman eight years younger than me. Why do you ask?
Most of the time its not too long. You can usually tell if its taking too long by the puddle of drool soaking your shoes. Or if you try to talk and you're tongue-tied...because you're stepping on it!
