I think, 5 years are very much. Relationships can function with age difference which are most higher.
It´s your feelings and understanding which has to be importent, not the age. I could understand it if he where 10 or 15 years younger or older. And even this is a personal attitude. Somebody like older, somebody like younger. But age should not the only reason to make a relationship or not.

And btw, look at statistics, on the average woman life 7 years longer as men.

That age difference is nothing, Cristina! Heck, even if you were the same age, he could be salivating for younger ladies, if he is the kind of person who would do that. thumbs up

I do not think 5 yrs. of age difference is a big deal, to be honest. It would depend on the maturity level I would think. IF he loves you, your age will not be a huge concern for him. In his eyes you are beautiful...even though there may be younger women around that he sees with his eye, so what?
YOU will be the one that has his Herart. Not all men leave a woman for a younger woman. When men, or women leave, there are other issues involved. I would think carefully before I made the decision to not give it a go because of the age difference. It can sometimes be very haunting to wonder later "what if"... Think carefully, you are a beautiful woman and he obviously sees this. Trust his judgment. wink hug kiss

Cristina ... have a look around at a lot of the 45 year old blokes ... I would say that on average ... a 50 year old woman who has looked after herself (normal everyday stuff - not high maintenance stuff) is AND looks fitter than the average 45 year old man -

As for taste and what you would act like, I can't imagine that would have changed that much between the time your are 45 and the time you reach 50. Being young is in the mind

You tols us how hw feels about you ... The question is how do YOU feel about HIM NOW ... Not how will he feel about you in 20 years time ...

The future many years from now is totally unchartered and sometimes as we grow older we get reality checks to remind us to live our life NOW.

This coming from an "older" woman who has had a few reality checks and who doesn't stand out like a sore thumb amongst early 40's folks ...
