Yeah, that's because they can write things down nicely in an IM or email (otherwise known as BS)
But, on the phone or in person it's much harder to keep the act up. Because there is no screen for them to hide behind and their true boringness and non personality and non humour makes the real conversations rubbish

im much better talking to ppl in person ....... or on the phone

I think i would be the extreme as i get very giddy on the phone/msn and find it hard to take anything serious,,This seems to be the main reason people like to hang up on me
I couldn't ever seriously advise anyone to call me without them first being under the influence of alcohol

I'm like that too, trouble is I usually get the ones who type jokes and plenty of laughing emoticons in their IMS and emails. But, when they get on the phone, heck, they turn out to be real miserable humourless critters

e-mails or IM let them pretend to be the ones thay are not
