What should be proposed to correct the Palestinian situation? ( Archived) (17)

As being debated and discussed on another thread the suicide bombing ideal of 'radicals' has quickly involved the entirety of the world. What just and fair action should be undertaken to correct this situation for the betterment of all and a final peaceful resolution?

Firstly, top of the day to you Mark!

Now, as for the solution, well, as far as solutions go, creating a secure Palestinian state sounds like a good start.

BUT!!!

I believe Israels objection to this is the fact that Islamic fundamenalists would use it's sovriegnty for the purpose of launching terrorist attacks upon Israel.

This is why Israel won't budge, and see's fit to maintain a foothold.

At the end of the day Mark, it's not about politics and states and borders, it's about people and hearts and attitudes and education...and ignorance.

Nowt will succeed until those more salient issues have been addressed.

Mark the best solution is to give the Palestinians their own state provided that this state/country will recognise the state of Israel and also its right to exist. Both countries should share control of Jerusalem. If there can be peace in Northern Ireland then surely this is possible especially as the Government in Northern Ireland is run by 2 parties who people never thought would talk together let alone sit down and work together.

Israel being what it is the issue must be resolved with all the best intentions for both. A secured Palestine but controlled and secured by whom?
Surely not Israel (or their perceived brothers in the US) nor the Palestinians for their openly stated beliefs and obvious track record with their neighbour?
A neutral combined world force is likely the only worthy answer with no leader but a group with no motive but peace.

As far as i see it , Its probably the burning core of any probable future war or major troubles in the future.

But , considering how many people really KNOW about the real issue ? How many christians or muslims know about it ? How many of us really understand its implications ?
Think about it ... the no. of people who would be affected if the situation wrt Israel escalates is far more than the handful who can even come to gauge what the real problem is.

So, to begin with we need to brush away the ignorance and the attitude to oversee things as " ohh .. i dont care .. politics is annoying " I would admit i include myself.

The solution lies in understanding the problem as the first step. As any solution wil need a large consensus of agreement .

Am I the only one wondering why the world needs another Arab nation? Not that I'm prejudiced, but really.... there are at least a dozen of them. Why the need to create another?

I say give the Northern half of California to Palestine and the southern half to Mexico.
