You are correct, "W" did have problems making money in "big oil". Which seems near impossible to do.

I do wonder what private business ventures Bill or Hillary have succeeded at.... confused

She was simply asked by a woman....."How are you holding up, Hillary?"
The question is not one that any candidate would WANT to cry at, after all you WANT to show you can hang under the pressure. It was more of a woman to woman concern showed by a voter, that was more personal than "where do you stand on ......." questions she had been fielding every day. Maybe it was a sense of humanity over someone being concerned about her as a person that caused her to cry...anyway it was only a couple of tears.... so whats the big deal about it... has everyone forgotton that people have emotions, that they are particularly suseptible to showing when you are tired...... geez get off it!

Hillary does NOTHING in public without first weighing how it will make her look to the people.

I am sure the pressure would get to anyone. And, yes, we are all human.... even politicians!! Hence, I was asking the question, NOT stating a fact - if you need to re-read my post, please do!!

Having said that, I believe Dazzling Dave's post has much validity. thumbs up

I have dealt with politicans over many years, my friend... tell me something about them I don't know then....??? dunno

Yes, Dave.... spot on, my friend. But not just Hillary.... all politicans. Their public image is conducted with strategic military precision.... they eat, sleep and breath tactics!! Their careers could not possibly survive without it.

If one actually "buys" the public persona that is projected, I'm afraid it is both naive and gullible.

cheers

And your comments aren't biased? I stated my opinion, if you don't like it that's too bad. Get over it and think about what you're writing before you hit the send botton.

Your accusation about me being bias shows your ignorance about politics. In short, I am biased against Hillary Clinton. Anyone, including you, who has selected a candidate or is against a candidate is biased. What do you think politics really are?

IMO Hillary Clinton is the most crooked politicians on the either side. She is not an advocate for the American people. She is about power and control. She will tell people what they want to hear just as her husband and most other politicians will and she will deliver next to nothing.

Obviously Obama has been around long enough. He's running a good campaign and I believe his support will continue to be strong. People are crying for change and as I see it, putting Hillary in office is a step back to at least 4 more years of the Clinton regime and the personal, professional and political trapping that were present during his presidency. Putting Obama in would actually be a change for the better. But hey, vote for whom ever you like..

The inferred post that you commented on was mistakingly drawn against your remarks. It was the person you had referenced in your comments that my response was intented. By no means did I intend the comment to be directed toward you, I had simply made the mistake of not paging up to his response before I replied.... please accept my humble apology

Well let me just say if I am biased, at least I am in a positive way. You can not read any wild accusations or suppositions in any of my comments. I never said Obama was not a good choice, in fact I said the contrary. I don't think, right now, he has the qualifications to qwell the problems in the middle east..... and I could very well be wrong, but I doubt it.
It is going to take some major diplomacy to get the wasps back into the nest, and bring stability to the middle east.
Once again in this post you furnish the reader with unsupported statements about Hillary, and even about the former Clinton administration, biased again in nature, negative again, and hearsay again....
Incidently, if I wound you with my comments regarding your written comments, it is basically to point out the invalidity of your unsupported accusations, not as a personal attack on you. The term biased is a term that does have a certain amount of personal inference, however was not intended to be directed toward you, but rather the intended direction of your written remarks. Politics can be somewhat inflammatory, ask any bar owner. I am sorry if I ruffled your feathers.

Remember when Hillary cried on air. Who really wants to have a president that breaks down just from being questioned?

No feathers ruffled (at least not long term). And certainly no harm done.

If you want reasons, here are just a few.
Whitewater
Her conflict of interest allegations involving the Rose Law Firm
Travel Gate

(None really substabntiated but where there's smoke....)

On the issues
She wants to raise taxes
She is less than firm on her position on the Iraq war
Universal Health Care Idea - Socialized medicine (We don't need govt dictating our health care).
She has lot's of ideas and I believe they are the wrong ideas.

Finally, and on a more personal level.

Finally and more personally, I cringed through the drama, deceit and out and out lies that surrounded the white house the last time she lived there. I don't want more of the same. I want a change and on the Dem ticket she really doesn't come off as a change at all.

Anyway, have a great night and seriously, no harm done and no offense taken..

cheers

gr8str8d8: Hillary Clinton is the best choice we have for President, especially considering that she has a former president of the USA behind her.
At the end of his term, Bill handed the country a surplus budget, to which now has translated into trillion dollar deficit. The country enjoyed economic growth, and we actually still had favorable standing with the rest of the world. She would be tough against terroism, and would be compassionate to the rest of the worlds problems......and she would have Bill to possibly send to the middle east to help negotiate an end to yet another American military folly. Obama is definately for America as well, but not untested, without experience, we already know whos waiting in the wings with Hillary....who does Obama have?

I thought she already did a tour.......... confused
