Hey sweetie, gosh yes you are a brave girl to enter into the world of internet dating... it has its ups and downs... Just remember a word to the wise... if they proclaim true love within three emails RUN
If they look gorgeous and tell ou they work for Boeing and are an engineer and live in another country but are coming to visit/work etc in your country soon....RUN
If they IM you as soon as you log on .... and they are in their twenties from some other country just close IM down and RUN dont get too worried about hurting peoples feelings on here.
Dont give out your home email - let them email you on here... if they have a paddy about it... RUN
If it looks too good to be true then it probaby is RUN
Be very very careful about any guy around your children and dont leave your children with him to babysit unless you are MARRIED lol!!
Otherwise take it slow take it easy... small steps of courage and you will get there... email lots and try to stick local.. They have more accountability and also it is nice to actually meet someone for a coffee or chat or ring them to see how their day was without it costing...also you can email and then meet and there is no physical chemistry. If you can meet sooner rather than later than that is a bonus if possible.
Good luck there are some really lovely guys out there just a few spoil it all but it is a numbers game honey evetually you will draw the right number and all the let downs will make it seem as if it was worth it.
Dont mean to sound negative just to be honest this is my experience on here... but i am not one to let it get me down.. I have a date on Sat night and am ever hopeful as he is that we are a match made in heaven.... check back with me on Sunday... i might have a totally different idea lol!!

Thank you for the advice i have only been on here for a week and have had one that wont leave me alone . like you said run if they express love with in 3 emails ...no one can say i love you after just talking on here and not knowing each other for awhile..RUN got it doing it .
Hi funloving33 thanks for making a post on my thread. I will reply to you in a while. My first post has been good so far. I like the emoticons. It's also possile to have bigger text size in part of a post.
I've meet a couple of people from dating and or friendship sites. It's one way to get to meet people who are somewhat compatable and available. Being rusty to dating is OK I reackon. Getting tips on here is bound to help navigate the internet dating world.
It's seems like a good community of people on here who post in forums. I wish you well with your time here.

Hi every one im new to this sort of thing . i not long ago split with my Ex after 17 yrs and 2 really good but cheeky kids ....witch means i have not been on a date or really talked a man since i was 16 ..now 33 yrs old and tring to find what life is all about again .
