A little deviation here , sorry Indy : ( I was just browsing for Edgar Cayce .. Diogenes mentioned about him the other day.
"From Cayce's perspective, we are not simply physical bodies or even physical bodies with souls, but are instead spiritual beings who are currently having a material experience. As souls, we have manifested in the earth in order to learn lessons that will enable us to return to our former state of spiritual awareness. At the same time, one purpose we all have in common is to bring the spirituality of the Creator into the earth. The goal is to fully express love in all the challenges which physical life offers.")
Think about it , as has been extensively debated on the God and God delusion thread , the ones perpetuating viloence in the name of religion be it UK or US or elsewhere , dont actually seek a solution but are towing towards meeting their " means '.
" Do we tolerate their attempts to Islamisation of our world " as would be asked is similar to the uproar in the east " Do we tolerate the christanisation of our people " In different ways by accepting or by protesting we acknowledge their power to influence when we actually have the power to decide if we will aceept it or ignore it.
palehorse1967: "I know of no religion that encourages its followers to go and randomly kill and/or destroy whole societies and innocents." All you have to do is open your eyes,..they have been around as long as religion has.
The religions we talk about are fairly recent in their evolution comparing all the religions of the world and a true follower would tell you the real interpretation against the man made changes and interpretation in the literal sense which make a great deal of difference.
All religions but do explain the glory of their God but here again we have to remember the scriptures were written by man.
I will not disagree with you at all on those facts. I however must appologize for bringing that up, because I do not want to hijack the thread into a religious discussion.
The "Cities against Islamisation",....when you invite a snake into your home,..you shouldn't be upset when it bites. I believe these cities are begining to understand & want to rid themselves of their snakes.

those who profit from religion can only succeed by maintaining anonmity. Sure media and officials claim this religion difference and that rel;igion dispute are behind acts of violence... I do not believe that pretense anymore. pat attention to the investors of the world those who use our money to make themselves money then pay us a "dividend". the facts are there if one chooses to question what they are being told to believe. good and bad exist greed and compassion too understanding and hatred are in abundance... too me it appears the bad greed and hatred are about to get thier 15 minutes of fame. it will return to the others and that will bring about more profit for those who operate merely on the bottom lineand profit margin mentality.

nothing wrong with voicing a collective opinion... what is wrong is when the collective opinion is not of the majority of citizens yet they get a louder voice and more recognition....
fireliter: yes there are powers at work that prosper by choas and war and hatred and surprisingly enough all countries borders are open to them to come and go as they please. Religious differences have been thrust into all our minds for so long thats the first and most acceptable reason to raise a flag to rally round. Sadly I know of no religion that encourages its followers to go and randomly kill and/or destroy whole societies and innocents. Yet how often in the annuals of history has that very reason been used. Killing is so much a part of all religions yet all scriptures denounce this very act. it is not love of ones God or diety that brings this plague of death and hatred its nothing but business transactions and acquistions. the bottom line is profits everything else is smoke and mirrors. and as per any business the working man is not made privy to the corpoarte decisions. Most just do as their told. the divide will always exists and it grows wider forget the "I'm of this religion and this belief and they are of another crap" look at it as those who profit from it "the haves and haves not" and how those roles through history change ... every change brings profit to those who have always profited form hatred, greed jealousy. thats my opinion of most religious wars and conflicts where many innocents die needlessly.
I am in agreement with your premise. There is however some religious scripture that does encourage killing , as well as stealing women for the use of the plunderers and much more.
And as Riya has stated scripture is written by man not any god, just as god is a belief of man.

That is a valuable statement!!
What is heard loud is power, money and control dynamics which are aptly camouflaged.
palehorse1967: It's kind of the like the old story of the snake. Many cultures have a version, less people take heed than should: "Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, you knew I was a snake."
Sometimes "the moral of the story" comes at the end of a long drawn out tale. Not a thing wrong with being concise.
