SEVERAL European far-right parties announced a new organisation aimed at fighting the "Islamisation" of Europe.

The group dubbed "Cities against Islamisation" was presented to the media in the northern Belgian city of Antwerp by Filip Dewinter, head of the far-right Belgian party Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) along with Austrian FPOE leader Heinz-Christian Strace and Robert Spieler of the regionalist Alsace First group.

Parties from Britain (the British National Party), Denmark, Germany and Italy were also represented at the launch of the group which has a road-sign-style crossed-out mosque as its logo.

Thirty members of the new organisation then set off on a walk around areas of Antwerp with a high immigrant population.

Belgium's second city Antwerp has a cosmopolitan population that includes a substantial minority originating from Muslim countries.

It has also been the main bastion of Vlaams Belang for the last 20 years, as the far-right party pursues its goal of an independent Flemish state.

Ermmm ...

I think this was bound to happen !!!

Just as the extermist sections have tried their best to vandalise peace and make a obvious stand , going a full circle , now the ones who have been watching will find it compelling to voice their opinion.

I see it this way ... once there is an imbalance and there is one trying to dominte another , i guess we have enough of history to indicate to us where it leads to.

I can only hope everyones right to their opinions and publicly speaking their minds will not be crushed or denied.

Contrary to all the political international fairy tale rhetoric, as inhabitants ( this word includes us all everyone) go we do not need to like everyone else.

In fact in some cases it is causing more problems than solving. ( no proof of this just an opinion.

I was thinking .. a religious quote " To tolerate oppression is just as bad as oppressing or witnessing it "

Think about it .. the bottom of the chaos lies in the need to prove one's belief , principles and even " God " superior so that one's faith is the glorious one and one proves himself worthy of his God's favor.

But thats contrary to what faith or conscientious living is about.

While on the other hand , by voicing our distaste or even disgust of the others ways , we are indirectly acknowledging that they are succedding or letting them gain a foothold.

I am not saying silence is the answer. But, until the cause remains what we are dealing with are just the offshoots which is inconsequential to a great extent.

Like adding fire to fire.... dunno

When you choose to hire for less wages you will always bring those "out of towners" in... then they will not want to leave your land of prosperity.( cant really blame them can ya?).

If history serves me correct theres a few countries in the past 50 years that did exactly that.. allowed immigrants /migrant workers in, then before they realized what happened the make up a substanial amount of that very countries citizenry.

that brings change, drastically new languages on store signs, restaurants gathering places lifestyles overtake the streets....

So to those protesting, either you, your parents, or grandparents opened the door for them...

Cheap labor...getting something for nothing does not exist eventually a price will be paid usually its gonna be higher than one could ever imagine.

Most inhabitants do not really care about another's beliefs... when those that have a certain belief start taking away from them however its on and religious and ethnic reasons will always be used.

Immigrants is not about " cheap labour ". I mean all of them. And the cheap labour we speak about havent got enough education or are aiming for financial security when they left home and are hardly the ones who brew up trouble. Yes they are easy victims though.

The real troublemakers do not need to be immigrants and are fairly well educated. And as known to us , many times process the whole activity from far away places.

I feel we already have enough divides in the world and by terming people as outsiders we add more divide to our own world ( belongs to all of us )

The key here is not making people living on your own land more alienated but accepting and gathering momentum in favor of the land they live in.

My personal opinion.

Fighting the "Islamisation" of Europe. Is anyone suprised? Really??

A set of nations based upon freedoms; humanitarian, religious & social, finaly begining to understand that Shariah law blows many of those freedoms out of the water under penalty of death, suddenly do not want them in their countries anymore. Big suprize.

yes there are powers at work that prosper by choas and war and hatred and surprisingly enough all countries borders are open to them to come and go as they please.

Religious differences have been thrust into all our minds for so long thats the first and most acceptable reason to raise a flag to rally round.

Sadly I know of no religion that encourages its followers to go and randomly kill and/or destroy whole societies and innocents.

Yet how often in the annuals of history has that very reason been used.

Killing is so much a part of all religions yet all scriptures denounce this very act.

it is not love of ones God or diety that brings this plague of death and hatred its nothing but business transactions and acquistions. the bottom line is profits everything else is smoke and mirrors. and as per any business the working man is not made privy to the corpoarte decisions. Most just do as their told.

the divide will always exists and it grows wider forget the "I'm of this religion and this belief and they are of another crap"

look at it as those who profit from it "the haves and haves not" and how those roles through history change ... every change brings profit to those who have always profited form hatred, greed jealousy.

thats my opinion of most religious wars and conflicts where many innocents die needlessly.

It's kind of the like the old story of the snake. Many cultures have a version, less people take heed than should:
"Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, you knew I was a snake."

All you have to do is open your eyes,..they have been around as long as religion has.
