And then he gets sucked away to a war for 12-14 months. They're special men, but they have a duty to serve and they do. Anyone close suffers because of it. I've never gone through this and now it's breaking my heart. It's just wrong to give someone less than a weeks notice until they're in the middle of a war.
I understand what you mean. I always wanted a military man. But now he's leaving.
I'll tell you LilWhiskey, this man you're talking to, Leo, is a pretty special military man. I have the honor of calling him my friend. This evening he has been comforting me. I've known him for a while. I'm just saying, here is a truly wonderful man, right under your nose.

I know that it is hard dcj22. But it is getting both 'safer' and 'better' on these unit deployments. Better equipment and fewer hostile actions. Also the withdrawl might come into play here. Might get his unit home sooner.
God bless him for what he does and where he goes. I hope these word are a comfort to you. But I am sure the only ones that really matter are.......Honey, I am headed home.....see ya in few days time.

Don't get me wrong, I do understand the lifestyle...I was with a man in the army for over a year and I don't miss him, but I do miss the life.

Couldn't help it, They are such gorgeous men. Especially in uniform.
i've actually been in contact with an air force and a navy recruiter for quite some time now...just gotta take care of my credit and I'll go into the airforce with the hopes of being a pilot one day...
Still not quite sure if I want to throw away all my freedom quite yet. I want to start a family here pretty soon, so if I was in the military I'd have to leave my kids, which I'd never do...
