Which just goes to show that only certain people get to play the game, let alone win.
I remember one of the Libertarians in my region who was running for office, a number of years ago. Since the money he used to run his campaign was grass-roots, the special interests had no hold on him. Since they had no hold on him, they pushed all the money they could into his opponents coffers.
Needless to say, he lost.
