alot of people tend to think they are devil worshippers which is not true! they dont perform human or animal rituals, the only rituals they have have is where they go into a confessionl booth and make a doll of the person they feel has hurt them or done wrong to them and stick pins in it while shouting and screaming and letting all the built up emotion out on the doll..
satanism from what i have read is that it is they dont have a god to follow of any form, they believe you are your own god and that you should worship yourself and your own needs.

Sounds like weakly constructed PR to me.... they call themselves 'SATANists'.... 'C'mon!!

Satanism has nothing to do with Cristian idea of a devil. If fact Satanism might be older then Christianity. Human desire have existed before any religion. Though my system of believe disagrees with Satanism it doesn't hinder my understanding. Humanity always strangle between two extremes "right - wrong", "good - evil" failing to realize that it is the nature of things. I believe it is foolish to ignore your desires as it is foolish to ignore your spirit.JMHO

Well, music preferences does not show your relationship to religion. I was born in muslim family, and consider my self as a muslim in some way, though never went to mosque or prayed. I like different kinds of music and pay no attention to the idea, I like only music, but not lyrics.
I did not read Spake Zaruthustra, but it seem you have no clear idea of the Zaruthustra religion. This religion originated in the Central Asia, in the region I live in, and developed in old Persia. The main principles of this book are in some way similar to the main religions of the world, as Zaruthustra has own holy book called "Avesto" and a God Zaruthustra, who is considered to be the only god in this religion and the evil spirit Ahriman, who is like Devil tries to make people act wrong.
This religion has no relationship with Satanists and is even followed by many people in India and mountain areas of South-East Asian countries
