I think Ive made it clear that I am not prejudice on various threads in here. Unfortunatly a lot of people are, some cultures more than others and for reasons that maybe go back for thousands of years that dont even have a relevence now.
riyablossom: All of us have an individuality which reflects our true self irrespective of how we look , where we live or who we are friends with.
Are you prejudiced or opine about people depending on the company they keep ?? in real life or on CS ??
Does it bother you whom he/she talks to or likes ? Do you avoid or have reservations about people based on this ? Is it right ?
That would be very childish behavior, to be bothered who people like or talk to. This is a forum on the internet. People talk to each other or don't. If I was to be bothered who was talking to who then I obviously would have a very sad life with nothing else to bother me.

No because the company keep is not them....I have friends who don't cae for each other but it doesn't bother me...their opinion is not mine...I choose my friends based on who they are...NOT what somebody else thinks!!!!!!!!!!
riyablossom: I have seen a lot of people have reservations ( as in opinions about others ) about others depending on the company they keep.
Yes, absolutely. It's an old saying, you know.... tell me who your friend is...
I too have friends from ALL walks of life, from bums to VIP's (literally), but what unites them all is that they are good people... And that's the only thing that matters to me.
for ex: someone is a friend of some infamous poster who got say banned .. just hypothetically .. i.e. wrt. CS.
or in Real Life ..
you have friends who are not much liked by people generally ..
then ???
Well if they are friends who cares....I don't get in the middle of issues with other people...whatever they have against each other is between them and it's immature to pick and choose sides..I don't play games and take people at face value...
Prejudice is closely linked sociologically to stereotypes. To some degree it happens to everyone automatically, and involuntarily. There are some factors that affect the outcome. The degree of prejudice in the person is one. Next, is controlled processing. Do we take the time to think about it, ask questions, and make a decision based on the answers?
Usually in people with high levels of prejudice regarding a certain stereotype, the stereo type will remain intact even after controlled processing. In those with lower levels of prejudice, the controlled processing is what makes the difference in whether the stereotype remains, or is refuted.
Although I have had quite a few people question my association with some very colourful characters over the years and even here on CS. Everybody has something to offer. I'll talk to anyone I find interesting or I feel has something of merit to say, regardless of the company they keep.
