Have tried an experiment these last couple of weeks with uploaded profile photos.

1: First placed the current for a few days
2: Replaced with a black and white personal
3: Changed again with a local scene of home
4: Replaced with a summer shorts personal

And the results ensuing are:

1: 26 votes average mark: 6.38
2: 7 votes average mark: 6.7
3: 6 votes average mark: 4.67
4: 12 votes average mark: 5.58

How funny. Don't know a lot of compiling stats, but I guess that at the end of the day, choosing which photos are placed on to one's profile has a direct effect on the resulting 'clicks'.

Maybe it will also encourage the innumerable CS members who placed profiles with no photos to come out of hiding and start uploading.

Comments anyone?

Tell you what I noticed ...

Gongman and I met here on CS
We both posted the same photo of us together
I have now turned off the rating on mine, but before I did, I compared the rating of the photo on his profile to the rating of SAME photo on my profile
Rating on his profile FROM WOMEN was numerous but was a lot lower than on mine although I had less votes...
Rating on his profile FROM MEN was minimal but also a lot lower than mine although I had more votes ...

Not sure what to make of it ... confused

kurzita: Never minded the 'young' .........even at lower marks....

Guess ther comes a time that even a one from a20 year old would make one happy......

It's fun for a few days then gets boring (the pic voting stuff)...I managed to help get my ex CS yummy girlfriend to top of the Maltese rated women for several days - and she is 55 years old.......but, oh boy, she was/is a very beautiful person with an enormous smile and a fantastic personality...I was so chuffed that she got rated above 20 something year-old 'pretty' women (she is beautiful, not merely pretty)!

I was rated top guy in Malta for about 3 minutes once when 10 women gave me good 'marks' - then a whole load gave me one out of ten and my average died a death........ so - basically it doesn't mean anything much more than an ego boost or the opposite - right?

And there was I assuming that nobody gave a toss about being rated ! I must be a real weirdo (have always suspected this anyway) because I only glance at the photo once but am focused on what the profile says or does NOT say ...

we could probably fill a whole library with what a profile doesn't say...

room for questions there

Maybe those that disregard CS rules prohibiting the inclusion of young children on photographs, should take heed and change those photos, instead of making use of them to gain sympathy and gain points!!!!!

How unfair can we get!!!

Well Flower, I don't know what to comment about what you said or about your photo, but your photo "solo" surely makes you the prettiest grandmother on CS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......especially since you changed from snow to sun......your face has lit up even more in the sun!!!!
