Most Florida residents will now be allowed to take guns to work under a new law passed by lawmakers on April 9th. The bill, allowing workers to keep guns in their cars for self protection, was approved by the Florida Senate by a vote of 26-13. Gov. Crist is to sign it into law. Backed by the NRA and some labour unions, this so-called "take your- guns-to-work" measure would prohibit business owners from banning guns kept locked in motor vehicles on their property. The measure applies to employees, customers and those invited to the business establishment as long as they have a permit to carry the weapons. The measure exempts a number of workplaces including nuclear power plants, prisons, schools and companies whose business involves homeland security. Dozens of workplace shooting occur every year in the US and studies show that job sites where guns are permitted are more likely to suffer workplace homicides. Of course there will be constitutional challenges against the exemptions based on fairness and discrimination, I would presume, but it sort of makes me wonder in the NRA isn't offering even more opportunities for people to shoot each other...could it possibly be that the NRA want more Americans to shoot each other??? In whose interest would it serve to have more people shooting each other?? Maybe the NRA is a secret ally of the agents of chaos, such as a terrorist group....%D. As a former member of the NRA, it does make me wonder...lol!

Zarah: Dont take your guns to town son...take your guns to town....
It will certainly let car thieves and gun thieves know which parking lots would most likely have cars with guns in them...given the penchant for citizens to have them around...lol!

I too am a former member of NRA and it does make me wonder...
Did NRA only back this bill because it concerns the freedom to carry a weapon? It does not make sence because it states that they must be permitted to carry a concealed weapon. I would not think that there would be exclusions as to where the weapon could be carried, except for the places mentioned at the end... schools, prisons, power plants, etc. So... What in the world is the bill for???
Let's all just shoot each other and put us out of our misery...
