is there anyone who can give a socio-linguistic reason for why women are more communicative than men? (or are generally said to be so, at least)

Hello Quiriman wave

It depends on the language.....

French would be female.

Italian would be female.

German would be male.

Japanese would be male.

Some languages, maybe English, would be hermaphrodite..... smile
