Being a shy awkward guy.

They probably find themselves in waters they're unsure of. They wish to say or do something that has deeper meaning. But they don't want to (Or not sure how to without looking like creeps or geeks) cross that line.

Of course they could also be space cadets. dunno

I just joke about it and say straight up, 'is this one of those awkward silent moments?' usually breaks the ice and works well. If you can't think of anything to say just ask them about their family or take on pets.

awkward silences, my best mates use to feel like that with me, so they say now their use to it. I know peps feel uneasy with silence but I'm gud with it. I talk very little and say what I have to. if you're good at coversing & listening we'll have a good conversation and if your not , I'd rather be doing something with you anyway. I won't try to keep talking for you to be comfy you need to work it out for yourself but i'm very accommodating and like to make everyone feel welcome.
