I'm Pisces, and all I know-from experience- is I don't work with Virgos or Capricorns.
Actually worked quite well with one Virgo for a while.

RedHeadedTaurus: The reason why some people are saying that their supposed 'best matches' didn't / don't work out is because... it's much more in depth, as far as a certain, particular sign.
Reason being is that, just because a person is a specific Sun Sign, does not necessarily mean that person will exhibit the characteristics of that sign.
Let's say a guy is a Leo, for example, yet - he doesn't act anything like a typical Leo... and that is probably due to the fact that the guy doesn't have any or many planets in Leo in his astrological birth chart. It boils down to the alignment of the planets at the time / month / year/ date of birth, & not really so much the Sun Sign, itself.
