Elley: Three years on and all is still not resolved, in part because the law is slow, though in a large part because my ex is really quite a formidable ex (lies, threats and intimidation,etc,etc......now complaining to the authorities that she ocassionally sees me by chance in the street and can they do something about that ?!!!! Suppose they could extradite me to Siberia ) Anyway, none of this is the point, just interested to know has anybody,like me, suffered quite severe health problems as a result of being dragged through court for three years?
Not just talking about stress and depression here, but real physical health problems resulting from depression and stress. Don,t really want to discuss my actual problems here, just to know, is this common or is it just that I am not up to it.?
BTW I think it is quite amazing that somebody can cause you quite serious life problems and it is not illegal !
If I enter your house and ruin your life I can be put away for a long time. If I enter your LIFE and ruin your life I can walk away laughing and there,s not a damn thing you can do about it !

Good Evening Elley! Sounds like you on a downswing at the moment - but it will pass - never fear it wont! One of these days you gonna be the Experto on Depression/Divorce and others will come to you for advice!
I have read that coping with the aftermath of a divorce is More traumatic than coping with the death of a loved one. At least with a death it is final and the person is just Gone. Divorce is like the tearing apart of two souls that were melded together, and also suffering from the resultant Hatred, where there was once Love.
There is only one cure for this ... and that is to Begin Again - Rid oneself of all thoughts of the other person, take absolutely no notice of any bitterness shown to you .. let it all be just water off a ducks back. Do not even See the other person if you walk past them - they no longer exist. Tis the only way to protect yourself and your inner peace.

Mine took five long years and it was only just to get a legal separation. In Malta unfortunately Divorce is not legal even though statistically separated cases is quite high.
Rest assured you'll be much better after some time but you have to be positive and look forward. As long as you are in good health you will conquer your battle.
