I went to a blind date, with a CS member. I always had my pic uploaded but he did not. I felt a bit akward and was pulling out of it in the last minute but then a friend of mine talked me into going and see how it goes, and it turned out really good. We're still dating, hopefully we will have a bright future together :-)

You don`t have to wear a disguise or a mask. You only have to not describe what you will be wearing, hide behind something, and wait. If you dont like what you see, walk away. If you like, then take the chance...... or you can just explain that you only have a few minutes as an emergency has cropped up, but you Did arrive so as not to disappoint them, if you find you cant bring yourself to spend too much time in their company. Dang!.... Now I letting you all into my secrets!

Went on a blind date a few years ago and told my daughter to ring me after one hour just in case

Ah yes, that the Other one to do ... get a friend to call! I`ve been on stand-by for that too .. with a single friend of mine. Once I forgot - but she got one of those message sms`s from her phone provider, you know where they send all their customers a "For only 20euro you can get 1million sms`s during the next month"? .... she slammed her phone shut and said "I got an emergency .. I gotta get home quick!" and escaped.

Had a friend who went to meet her blind date....she walked past the guy and he went after her and asked 'are you Mary' she replied 'no, I no speakee English' and walked on and left the fella standing there

No speaka da lanwich ... I went out with my german friend in SA once and two guys tried to chat us up in this pub - she spoke her broken english and explained that I did not speak english at all ... I was Swiss & just a tourist. So these two guys do their pantomime, speaking real slowly and trying their best to make me understand them, and I`m looking all foreign and confused, smiling a lot and trying to look intelligent in that absent minded way that foreigners do and shaking my head, and my friend is doing a lot of gobbly-gook "interpretatations".
The next day one of these guys comes into my Gallery with his wife ..........
He never even asked how I managed to learn English so quickly....
