Question for you Wall. I am currently doing interval training. I have had pretty good success with it. I am going heavy and shooting for 10 sets in any given exercise. Once I am able to do 10 then I cut 15 seconds off of the interval until I am down to 15 seconds intervals and I close out the cycle with 10 sets with 10 second intervals. The problem that I am having is that any exercises I do for my chest I am plateauing after a few weeks. All other body parts are thriving on this routine, except for my chest, but this seems to happen no matter what the routine is. I am trying to figure out if it is all psychosomatic or if I should vary what exercises I do on a weekly basis or maybe vary the weights that I am using. Any suggestions?

Increase weight....lessen the reps,IS THE BEST WAY TO GAIN MASS.
For your chest...
Lets say you bench 325pounds max...
Try the 8,6,4,4,2,..1 system.
Warm up with say....200 pounds on the benchpress....8 times.

Also,if you're gonna get serious about POWERLIFTING,don't know what its like in your area....you might need to find a gym that suppports POWERLIFTERS...because alot of them don't. You're also gonna need a partener/spotter ....for your heavier lifts, and mingle wiyh people who encourage you to get stronger.

Best of Luck...
'Powerlifting....You do the things that others don't....to achieve the results that others won't.'
I've been doing this for 14 years, and I'M NOT trying to brag...or say I'm better than anybody else...but I'm STRONGER today,in all three of the big three lifts...
Bench Press... Deadlift... Squat....
Than ever before.
Practice...and dedication,and perseverence.
And you're not competing against anybody really...except you,and your personal best lifts....until you compete.
I used to do both Bodybuilding and powerlifting about 9 or so years ago but i have not been much into the whole gym deal since. I was able to bench 250 at a body weight of 178 but now my body is not that great i really put the hammer to my rotater cuffs from doing upright rows with too much weight and i have torn my forearm muscle before which hurts like a !@@@1!!!!!!!
I thought you should know that I'm getting closer to that 300 lbs. squat, Wall. The other day I almost brushed up against it while walking through my exercise room!
