roseofsharon: There are some that may think that to show pics with their children/grandchildren, grown up or otherwise, evokes a "family man" kinda perception?? That is all very well but, just as with reams and reams of text to wade through, its perhaps more relevant for a later time.
What is the point of knowing every facet of someone's life and their raison d'etre before even getting to know them?? Surely, a lot of the fun is the journey? The getting to know someone??
I am quite puzzled by some of the pics such as:
Half-clad to virtually naked..... why do I want to know about a person's body before I have any knowledge of his mind? Smacks of vanity and I don't pander to egos...!!
Flashing the six-pack or tattoos.... sure, I don't wanna know about them as a person, I wanna go out with a tattoo??!!
Only ONE pic and its way too dark or the subject is wearing shades....??
I am at a loss sometimes, considering it would be best, surely, to show oneself in the most favourable light possible, as to the thought process that goes into making the decision that that is the best pic to put up!! If that thought process ever gets off the starting-blocks, of course...!!

You hit much of it right on the head! I think we are all mature enough to realize that most everyone has a past life w/ someone else. That being said, there is no reason to show yourself with a ex. Just show yourself.
Like many of you, (and I used this in writing my profile), I have trouble understanding why there are those out there that want to show themselves as my very first two emails from when I uploaded my pics, one guy in a towel. The other with nothing on, the pic cropped 'just' barely in the right spot.
Come on we are all past Jr. High School here. How are those pics supposed to help me get to know him in a favorable light. How am I supposed to learn to love him knowing the whole world knows pretty much what he looks like and guessing what I might look like next to him? or If I took up w/him only b/c of the towel shots. Or wondering why I would take up w/a guy who has no respect for himself or is/are they really that DESPERATE? If so, how sad. Those moments should be private and only between two people not the whole world.
I could not accept that kind of behaviour. I would be feeling cheapened by his actions.
PS Ship you get all that ribbing - Wouln't it be easier to take the silly "dress" shirt pic out of commission?
