...yes...some people give 4 sets...while others give them up to 6 sets...i prefere the later...because its better safe then sorry....you vet will keep you up on that...although, you could probibly get them at a feed store and give them yourself...but, i'm not sure, they may have reastrictions on that where you live...but, none the less...you vet will keep you up on it....

LovingMassage: Treat him like a dog and be the leader of the pack or pit bulls will run over you. Have to be very assertive with them.

Why did you choose a pit bull of all breeds may I ask?

Pit bulls come up every year for ban here because our police department has to shoot so many because they are vicious.

I know there are those that aren't. It is just a breed I wouldn't have thought a cute young lady like you would want.

They are very aggressive dogs, and he is right you do have to be VERY assertive with them, and never pet them under then their chin they will take it as you are subserviant to them. You have to constantly show them your the boss, or like he said they will run you.

dillydally: ok im getting a dog well a pup actually ,he's an american pit bull

I didn't know this breed (or it's mixes) was allowed anywhere in the UK.

dillydally: see im getting him for cons 10th birthday

Did you mean for your son's 10th birthday? Is that right? wow Sorry, but maybe a hamster or a guinea pig might be more suitable....

Please give this a lot more thought. And not because these dogs are made to look like man eaters by the press. This is a VERY powerful, active and dominant breed with a lot of drive and, yes, "game" (or gameness), and I certainly hope you have had dogs before (that you yourself took care of and trained), and that you are prepared well to take the pup through basic obedience classes, lots of socialization with people AND other dogs, etc.

Where are you getting this dog from? (although I sure hope something will make you change your mind) A reputable breeder should explain all this to you - what shots he's had, de-worming (before the vaccinations), what else needs to be done, when, what he eats, etc.
