The U.S. and Canada are deemed two of the richest countries on earth, yet there are people who are dying before their time, for lack of food, medical care etc. The U.S.A., spends billions of dollars a month on their so called "Free Iraq", while millions of Americans are dying from lack of health care. If you can justify this, then please do so.

I'm not just dumping on the U.S. Canada is spending our money and lives in Afghanistan for a war that can not be won. It's time to stop waving our f* flags and stand for what we are, great nations, but it's time to take care of our own.

I have always felt and said the same thing "war is so futile" little boys in grown up outfits playing power games or worse still trying to prove their worth to their fathers who sadly were not worthy to begin with....

the real sufferers in these power/greed games are the mothers and innocent children....

it is too pathetic, sad, ridiculous and wasteful to comprehend.....

makes me want to leave the planet real quick......

sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Are there sources for those millions dying? That would divide out to about 20,000 in Indiana. I've not heard the 1st word on anyone here dying from being refused health care.

Not here to argue, but sources would be great.

Coudn't agree more...

Oddly enough, if we did a better job of getting healthy food and quality medical care to the less fortunate members of our communities,

I bet we'd see a decrease in the need to subsidize there income with financial donations.

After all, being healthy is a helpfull component to being productive.

Respect for the sacrifices of those "volunteers" demands that we always challenge ourselves to do better.

gentlepaws,

I hear you loud and clear. I stay very upset with what is going on in your country and mine with politicians making the laws that we have to live by.

However, let me ask you this . . . Where else on this planet would you rather live? I can't think of anywhere else because when you get right down to it, we've got it made compared to most of the rest in this world.

We can all piss and moan about what we don't like about our countries but as a former US Marine I can't think of anywhere in this world that I have it made more than where I'm at.

Best Wishes, Tommy

"Innocent children" that are forced to fight against other "Innocent children" that at the end of the day do not understand what they are really fighting for, for it is the fat cats that are are at the top demanding power/money/fame/recognition/validation/approval/POWER. POWER.POWER.POWER.POWER.POWER.POWER.POWER......

I am a planet dweller, I have seen on tv and read the horrors of wars. Mind you I do realise I will never ever be exposed to the true and real horrors of it all... But I have come to realise it all boils down to greed and power and at the end of the day there never is any real "winner" the pain, hurt, devastation, dismay, depression, carnage, destruction, trauma, metal disruption, physical mutation, medical expenditure, human dysfunction of generations to come ie children paying for the sins of their fathers etc,. etc,. etc,. this is what has the planet in the state that it is in.....

we have lost the plot.......shame

Are we really free? If so from what?

I know we enjoy more liberities then other countries. I guess that maybe be the accepted definition of liberity.

Are we completely free? I say NO, then we'd have anarachy.

If someone is surrounded by laws & confined & contricted in your movement are you really free?

We can't be "truly" free and live in any kind of organized society a the same time. Just the way it is.

One could argue how free can a person be when the government confiscates 50% of one's income?
