I want a sea-side town where Cubans are allowed on the beach. I know that there are a lot of Canadians that winter there. What's your experience ?

all kidding aside...my brother went there on a sailboat that was part of a ragata {i dont know if thats right...a sailboat race}....the race was from tampa bay to habana...the reason they were allowed in is because...the boats were bringing humanatarian aid to the people of cuba...its an anual race, from what i understood....my brother said it was very beatiful there...and from the pictures, it looked to be the prettiest island of the caribean...he told me it was a very hospitable place but, you would'nt want to get in trouble there...police on every corner...and the best mojito's in the world.....i've wanted to go every sense i heard of it, just have'nt got the chance to get away....

I will never understand why the U.S., still has an embargo on Cuba. It's just a little Communist country, trying to survive. The U.S., trades with China, an extreme communist country. I guess money and goods mean too much.

Hola! The only beach off-limits to Cubans that I know of is near Guantanamo. The locals there can also be suspected of defecting if they go to swim in rivers near there.

There are lots of police in Baracoa and Habana's "Rampa", on the look out for the practice of humanity's oldest profession.

I understand that a boat full of Canadians comes to Moa, near Baracoa often.

You can also check on the "Cuba-junky" web-site for great advise.

we get cuban cigars here in Tampa. Well, they are rolled by Cubans anyway!!. And Cuban sandwiches are good, too. But their tiny feet dangling off the side of the bread IS a little disconcerting!!
