SatelliteServer: So I worked for this company for a year now and gave the best I could, not tooting my own horn but the Bosses son sends me to all the High Profile Jobs, I am considered the best they have, anyway The Owners cousin builds a Hotel and I am sent there to run the show, distance is an issue so I ask to be relieved for a closer to home job, they beg me to stay, after I tell them some of the projects I did and being foreign and the worlds best, I was payed at a lower ratio, so then they try to jam me down and offer less, I tell them I am spending $600 CDN a month in fuel and 3 hours a day driving, never the less I have more equipment than anyone else
asked to work for cash, finally my last cheque I agree with a Cash Payment,
The owner called and was still upset....
What do you folks think of all this? Tell him to F%ck himself?

I would...I don't like dealing with people who try to nickel and dime you....Either they want quality work done and they're gonna pay for it...OR they just want it done and don't care about the quality of it...either way...they pay for what they get....so let them pay the lower fee to someone else who will get it just done without the quality!!!!!!!!!!

i am all for knowing your value in the workplace
its a tuff call sometimes but whats the ratio of BS to dollars and then choose
for me i have to stop and get my ego out of the way
i have to remember i am working a job for money not self esteem
seems like you have that balanced tho so why not let the boss feel however he chooses to feel about it and if they met your request thats good enuf?
i dunno
maybe get another offer and then have a choice? and a reminder for him that you ARE valuable
valuable to not jack you around because they respect you
have i made any sense?

Well if they want you to stay...they'll pay what you ask without all this hassle...otherwise....thell them to go f themselves!!!!!!!!
God knows I'm sure...companies like that choose to nickel and dime their employees yet maximize their price at the end!!!!!!!!!
