MSNBC Takes Incendiary Hosts From Anchor Seat
"MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election.
That experiment appears to be over.
After months of accusations of political bias and simmering animosity between MSNBC and its parent network NBC, the channel decided over the weekend that the NBC News correspondent and MSNBC host David Gregory would anchor news coverage of the coming debates and election night. Mr. Olbermann and Mr. Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.
The change — which comes in the home stretch of the long election cycle — is a direct result of tensions associated with the channel’s perceived shift to the political left.
“The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into what’s supposed to be straight news programming,” said Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin.

Oh yes I read that one Wish already. I noticed that MSNBC was going for a combative thrill ride choosing those 2 to anchor the conventions; as in flying sparks increase the drama and more people will tune into drama.
It didn't help them in the long run 'tho in the ratings of the show or something so they are backing off and getting the 2 new guys for the debates.
I don't care actually who is commenting, just a lot of blather to me, I watch the candidates and listen to the speeches. I even check the body language baby and what their eyes are saying.
I think it's a good thing because in perusing sensationalism the media is also biased and repetitive, damn Soap Operas in my view and I don't like Soaps unless I'm washing something.

Yea I'm sure about the links, you can tell if they need to be split if when you paste them on your post the thing goes crazy and extends past the words. those will run off the page (remember Dude's and Toms one's that did?).
It is incomplete and wont simply copy/paste into the address bar. Just go to where the last letters of your post ends and split it by clicking enter after clicking your browser to split it.

I am just glad that this is an indication the the media are starting to take notice of the fact that we are tired of the bias. This is a HUGE concession on there part, to my way of thinking. The NYT has been so openly arrogant about their leanings that I can only hope this gesture is sincere and not some crazy hoax for ratings.

ladyheart: hi k. the more im on these political forums the more i am starting to think that these parties already know who the winner is and they dont even care who wins as long as they divide americans on there political beleifs. that to me seems the most important thing for these people. i dont think it really matters who wins, what has to happen will happen no matter who is in power but i am giving mccain the benifit of doubt to to the fact the clintons, obamas, soros, and so on want to disarm the american public and that scares me more than anything. you get your horse yet?

you dont think these people are trying to take away the americans people firearms gun bans are getting struck down because people are starting to see banning guns from innocent people then only the criminals have guns and crime skyrockets. in d.c guns are banned and crime more than doubled in 5 years. right next door in virginia everybody has firearms and there is hardly any crime there compared to d.c.. still scratching your head or were you just itchy.

Well our current governor was a real scum bag and we needed him gone real bad. Arnold came in with star power and married into the Kennedy family (Maria Shriver).
I didn't vote for him but he got enough people to believe in him buy running on a reforming change platform, star power plus Maria.

I agree. But they all need to be held to the same standard and presented objectively instead of one darling over another. For example, they are the gatekeepers and they decided what quotes to include, etc. following a major event or speech. When they aired their coverage of the conventions, they picked all favorable quotes Obama, referencing only his "Historic speech." With Sarah Palin, all you heard was about the Mayor of a small town. It's subliminal, and it sucks.

mayor bloomberg spent his own money to ban guns in san franciscos and lost. an obama or clinton administration that are appointing anti gun supreme court justices along with U.N representatives friendly to georgee soros and bloombergs gun ban plans would create a well oiled gun machine both within and outside the country bent on destroying the second amendment. sorry fallingman i dont know how to paste things of i could give you a lot more proof. rebecca peters who heads the powerful international action network on small arms which is bankrolled by billkionaiure george soros and deep pocketed govts that have forcefully disarmed their own citizens. they do not think that americans should be exempt from the rules that apply to the rest of the world. in others words they are trying to take this countries independance away and if people give up their firearms they are finished. sorry fallingman there topo much info here and i cant write it all down but if you are interested i will try to get the websites for you that there is so nuch proof that the govt is trying to take people firearms away it would make you dizzy. im on dialup so everything takes forever here

the U.S will not join consensus on a final document that contains measures contrary to our constitutional right to bear arms. bolton consistently held the line against an unrelenting effort by the U.N to create a treaty that would jeopordize our national security and trunp the 2nd amendment.
you can be certain, however that under obama or clinton administration there will be no john bolton in the halls of the U.N to protect the interessts of american sovereignty and our rights under the constitution. U.N disarmament could prove far more devastating to our way of life than anything we have so far witnessed.

Last year the city of Washington DC enacted a hand gun ban. It was challenged to the Supreme Court. Found to be unconstitutional. It reinforced the gun clause of the Constitution.......and the pro gunners around the country began to celebrate a victory.
I am not sure of the crime figures......but crime figure need to looked carefully. Most major cities run thier own databases accumulating them. The FBI also does a annual nation wide crime study.....those are the best in the country to quote in my opinion.
Obama was pro gun ban for a time, from what I have heard. Not sure where he is now...he has flipped on so many positions it is hard to know where he is.
