I'm not sure about there but here in the States if you take a police report and your travel tickets to a walk in passport center you can normally get a replacement the same day or within 3 days.

Probably you lost also your ID document.
As you know if you have new one you can travel around UE without passport.
Maybe geting new one ID takes less time?

I went out with my friend on Saturday night,and my bag has been stolen,it was everything inside and my Passport too
Don't know what to do,just 3 weeks left for my and my daughters holiday,and they are giving me a hard time to get a new passport.

My girlfriend had a similar situation but lives in Spain with a UK passport... she was able to get an emergency passport here to travel back to Wales and they issued her a replacement passport immediately. Maybe you need to go into the office with your tickets?

Feel really bad for you, kiddo.
Keep your fingers crossed. If it was a pro that took your bag, sometimes they just take the cash/credit card and throw the rest in a post box. Still a chance you might get your id back.------ This thread is Archived ------
Just saw this, egadds! I am sure you can apply for an emergency passport since you are on records. Who all have you informed, the police I am sure, did you go to your local bank and cancel all transactions? did you call the credit card places and have a hold on anything charged? I am sorry this has happened. People doing things like this

What am I thinking.... I went through this several years ago while I was backpacking around Europe... I was able to travel with the police report until I got back to Scotland, I took my paperwork to the passport office in Glascow and picked up my passport 3 days later on my way to the airport to fly to Singapore.

Well...everything is going well so far,going to the Polish embassy 2mr morn,there was a nice person there i was talking to,and i will get a new Passport before i need it...
Credit card is safe,only one thing i am going to miss is a little picture of my son when he was 1 year old,was caring that lovely photo nearly 18 years...

Awww, I know what you mean, I lost a cherished one due to somebody stealing my wallet, it was the last one I had of my mom with the children, I was more pissed about that than anything else. And she was supposed to be a friend, the one that took it! I am sorry you lost yours.

glad to hear u'll get ur passport before you go hun, the same happened me a few weeks ago. someone got into the staff room n took my purse n one belonging to one of my staff. i cancelled everything but it's the little things that had sentimental value that we miss most.

As mentioned you should be able to get an emergency passport. Make initial enquiries at the Post Office?
