Many years from now, future generations will look back at this era and try to find something that will define our generations.
They will look at American Idol.

Nothing will make sense to them. They still won't understand why we voted for Neo-Conservative parties or why we willingly participated in expansionist wars or why we watched our brothers and sisters be illegally detained, starve or die from drug overdoses, gangs etc.
And in the middle of that confusion, one show will rise above all others in explaining this sliver of history.

Yes, case in point is Steamboat Willie the original version of Mickey Mouse. I think Steamboat Willie and Mickey Mouse are definately different.
