LACali: I hope not hon. I don't think they are supposed to do that? The most inspirational people are those who lead by example not force...
suffice it to say that I think it the greatest of injustices that Crotalus and I got into all this hullabaloo for a bit of information sharing - if you only knew of the organisations which exist to train people to go into unsuspecting internet forums to deliver exactly the sort of stuff we get here on a daily (verbatim at that!) basis you would be pretty niffed too........ just google 'evangelizing the internet', follow a few links and you will find the training programs used, same with the rest of the world, have a look at 'evangelism watch' or 'the joshua project's 1 and 2............
If people are going to suggest that we live and let live then they should first know about the stuff thats being done in their names and is making increasing numbers of people hostile to Christianity.............
crotalus_p: Mike have you not been watching the thread it’s allegedly from between 34 and 35 it was allegedly edited out at some point
Professor Morton Smith, a Christian (believes that we essential know of the life and teachings of Jesus) has found a letter by the Bishop of Alexandria (c. 125 C.E.) describing a deleted passage of Mark's Gospel.
Bull, bull, bull and more bull... geez .. for one the 'extract is far too long to have been an original insert...the entire body of the Bible is comprised of really short verses....ALSO... it would be completely out of context if read with the true Mark 34 and 35... Crotulus, you have read erroneous lies somewhere on the internet and you have chosen to believe them....
Lies or un-original material which is of dubious origin is not a good start to an argument..
LACali: Now, now Trish, I just got everyone all settled down. I give up, this is almost as bad as the endless Obama political thread, I don't think anyone over there has converted anyone else either....
"People break down into two groups when the experience something lucky. Group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign, evidence, that there is someone up there, watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck. Just a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in Group number two are looking at those fourteen lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation isn't fifty-fifty. Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in the Group number one. When they see those fourteen lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen, there will be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?" Graham (Mel Gibson) - Signs

A belief is as foundationally life forming as a truth. Your world can evolve on either base
MikeHD: Nice try ship. God doesn't change. But since the world does, so does the way He deals with us. If not, then we would be on world flood 1,034 by now. That would mean a lot of gopher wood.

You may read it as many times as you like (I stopped at twice cover to cover) as long as your wearing those rose tinted glasses your not actually reading it
As long as your refusing to be open minded about it, your not reading it either my friend.

I dont have a mission to convert - I dont have a hidden agenda - those who think I do are possibly judging me by their own standards
