This is my first post, (Hi all). Most of us go through life not knowing what our purpose is. If your a chicken let's say, at least you know what your lot is in life (Dinner), I'm not the kind of person to deny an animal their destiny so I say.....Eat up....lol Just kidding of course... I tried the veggie thing for the sake of my daughter once but I couldn't do it, I definitely respect those who can though it's not easy to do.

I am a vegetarian from birth. As a child my mom tried to force me to eat meat but I always resisted it. My first fish I ate when I was 21, from then on I ate salmon, almost everyday. I don't now why I resisted meat from birth, but now I see it as unhealthy, if you see how they treat animals like concentration camp victims it horrifies me. They own the planet, we stole it....

They help if you dont eat all staples foods. They most defenitly help pharmaceutical companies to make a fortune. If you only eat everything in normal amounts you don´t need supplements at all.
i've been a complete vegetarian for about seventeen years. my children, with FULL approval of their pediatrician, are vegetarians as well.
in this time, i have only been ill four times. i don't get sick. my health is superb. one of my children has never even been on antibiotics, and she is ten. (she does, however, have allergies...)
the things you need to watch are your B vitamins, and she may need to take a supplement for that. protein is a non-issue...as your recommended daily allowance of red meat is only three ounces...and soy protein is readily available.
about soy...it is the only non-meat source of protein that is complete, meaning you don't have to pair it with a starch. it is WAY healthier, as the fat content is much lower.
another thing to watch is iron. moreso for menstruating females, of course. and easily taken care of by a supplement.
when i say that we are complete veggies...i mean complete. (not vegan, however) we do not eat anything that came from a deceased animal...and this includes gelatin and normal protein powders.
my children's doctors...even have written school notes for substitutions on school lunches. they are completely behind me on this. done correctly, it is extremely healthy. of course, some peeps just try to live on french fries.
