ModestlyAwesome: Dude, I believe strongly in love and despite all my letdowns I will always hope to experience true love, but you can't sit here and try to force someone to believe in something they don't. Ship is quite happy to be who he is, and to sit there and tell him he has to feel love to be whole is not your place.

I'm not doing anything... is just my opinion(the way i see it)...

I guess I would "love" anything if I lived there...now THAT was rude!! What I stated earlier when he called me rude was just my opinion.

He belomgs to the class of people who feel they have a right to their opinion, but if you state yours....you are rude!!

Its a good question. It depends on the relationship if I would a leave. To be honest, I would first think it over and work things out with my love partner.

rasgumby: If it gos sour in My city or Country.. It is fairly easy to start over.....

But in across an ocean... if it don't work.. you are stuck there.

In my mind I can picture being homeless roaming the streets in a far off Country.
can you say starvation??

this one decision can screw up the rest of your life... a big chance I am not willing to take, I am realistic.

But to each their own.
I don't have to pay the price of someone elses screw ups.

Sorry for giving my unsolicited opinion, but this one I have to say.
The vast majority of USA citizens. They cant find Washington DC on their own coutry map. They can`t find the US in the world map. (source? a NY Times poll sometime in the 90`s). But it`s still a "free country".

As for the vast majority of the "non-free" Cubans, just check out their HUMAN DEVELOPMENT rates.

I like statistics, research, and so on. It helps me when I tell people what I believe in.

No personal offense meant, just provoking a bit of thought.

I`m not one. And I don`t think of other countries as necessarily better than where I am. I think a place is as good as you make it.

What does that have to do with what Ship said, about most cubans wanting to leave Cuba? confused dunno I think statistics also support that...you know that there are many migrating to the US, illegally or not.

I don't understand why you two are getting so offended by the truth. It's not like he said you ALL want to leave.
