Yeah, there is this fascination with anything looking like a zoll/spliff!In SA, I walked into the court rooms and a policeman pounced at me pointing to my arm and in a big loud voice said "I KNOW WHAT THAT IS!" .... he was pointing to my tatoo of 2 feathers on my arm ...... "THATS A DAGGA PLANT!"
... I gave him a pitying look, raised my eyebrow and replied "Reealy darl? So, what yo gonna do about it? Arrest me for being in possession of a tatoo?"... "Now, look real carefully, cause its 2 feathers - the Marijuana is in my handbag and I`m delivering it to the Chief Magistrate".

Similar to Johnny-Cake,without a Filling.My Niece made some Vetkoek for a Christmas-Dinner.
Apparently some one in SA showed her how to do them.

Yes, its just bread dough made with yeast and fried in deep oil! Old Voortrekker type food - starchy and fatty (used to be fried in lard!) ..... and the next thing they did was to plait long thin strands of dough, fry them, and then dip the hot "Koeksusters" into icy cold sugar syrup - a very popular sweet cake thing, even now!.... its sucks in the syrup and is juicy and sticky......

... Ever roled your smoke, lit it, and it all falls apart cause you licked the wrong side of the glue?
Its taken me 3 years to get used to the Rizler papers here ....... they put the glue on the opposite side to how it was in SA!
...And something else ...... if/should/dare someone ask you to roll them a smoke .... How do you feel when you lick your own spit to the glue? ... Or do you offer for them to lick their own smoke?.......

It's really nice and friendly out there too, just bring a bulletproof vest and a hard neck and you will be fine

I have not figured out how to get a rizla right way round in the dark as yet, each one is in the oppisite direction to the previous.
As for the licking of spit, there was a period of time when Aids first became news, that it was an issue, if someone asked me I usually just roll it and lick it myself, maybe thats bad manners, could be.
I found in NY that strangers kept coming up to me asking me to roll a "hand rolled cigarette" for them! They were so thankful for it that I did wonder if they were taking the piss. seems not though.
sure why not.. hehehe its my first day normally.. i have to learn alots of things here..... hehehehe
