Dusty43: It's nice to to read - get information - research - 'he said, she said, they said..."
but
who actually listens to what's inside them and
has 'experienced' the wisdom of the spirit?
All the information 'out there' is interesting but
it's all just words - someone else's opinions, besides, really, our own.
What are some of your 'inside' experiences?
Most of whatI have learned and speak about has come from the voice from within..anything I have learned or information I receive has to agree with that voice first before I do....My choices...plans and people I choose to have as friends also must resonate with that voice...so I constantly listen to it...but it took me a lot of years to learn to do so!!!!!!!!
I believe in Ichinen Sanzen, literally 3000 worlds in a single life moment.
Its the totality of my life at any moment, and includes not only my thoughts and feelings, but those of my peers and the phenomena that make up my environment. As such, all information, from outside, inside, from an enlightened state contained within a tree, from the buddha-nature of a rock, or from a passage quoted from the bible by a christian, are the buddha attempting to enlighten me via "Expedient Means", or, whatever means are most appropriate to the time and place in question, and according to my own present level of understanding...
Thus, when the seeker is ready, the way shall appear.
You make a distinction between outside and inside, dusty. That's dualistic thinking.

Non-local, non-dualistic. You are me and visa-versa...It is only the ego that maya (illusion) has instilled in us that prevents us from seeing this dependent origination. "We" are one, "we" are buddha, and there is no "bad" buddha, or "good" buddha, only the buddha. Those are labels attributible to ego. When this is accepted, all things become enlightenment.
Sometimes its soooooo surprising when u listen to yourself .. theres so much more wisdom and clarity in the inner voice than what your conscious mind perceives ..

Thank you, Tracy. That is the thinking I adhere to. As soon as I get my foot unstuck.

Isn't that the Truth. (I know I've been listening when I don't respond. )

Silence and emptiness are siamese twins. When we achieve emptiness, we also listen to the silence that informs all...
That is Zen. The teaching of which is transmitted not by words, but by expression. The simple perfection of a silent flower is the object of the Flower Sermon, not spoken, but rather, experienced.

but it be soo gnawing .. the truth is many times not the most comfortable zone to be in.
As being with a Native American for 2 years plus being raised between 2 reservations I have learned to truly believe in our spirit nature who will lead us if we take time to close our minds and listen. I had an overwhelming experience with night spirits and an enlightening one at a healing ceremony.
Spoken by a Native American Leader
I believe that we can express our natural gratitude and faith in making a better world and honor one another as sacred beings and creatures of a greater source.... whichever you may choose to believe.
Pilamaya.... Thank You Mitaki Oyasin... We Are All Relatives
