It had simply become painful for me to stay in that part of the country for many reasons. I'm glad we left. It was the right thing for us to do. Both of us.

I may have to join you in drinking. That houseful of kids will be back anytime, and they've all been whiny, and loud all day. I should probably have a couple of glasses before they return.
At the moment, my dogs and I are reveling in the quiet - and not having to jump up every five minutes to get a drink, or snack or change a damn diaper - 2 of them are in diapers!
